Sara Kiyork is delighted to offer a full dance photography service in her professional dance photography studio in Bayview, Sydney.

From aspiring beginner dancers through to professionals, Sara believes that every dancer at every stage deserves to document the personal beauty and power of dance.

Sara also photographs all types of dance genres from ballet to lyrical and contemporary dance. 

Her focus is on celebrating every dancer's unique artistic journey by creating personalised artwork that will be valued for a lifetime.

In 2019 Sara commissioned renowned artist Anna Carien to create a series of hand painted dramatic backdrops for her dance clients that refelect her signature artisan approach to dance photography.

Her photographic style for dancers is intentionally luxurious yet modern. Elegance, simplicity and raw emotion are the hallmarks of her work with dancers. Known for her love of dramatic lighting techniques, Sara's work echoes the work of classical painters while depicting modern dance movements and modern expression.

For experienced dancers, the photographic process is more collaborative. Sara believes in documenting feeling over technical poses.  The emphasis is always on capturing the emotion dancers express with their bodies, their arm gestures, their breath.  It is the personal passion and the power of dance for the individual dancer that Sara seeks to capture for every dancer.
